Field Care
Supervisor
We are seeking an
experienced HOME CARE Worker to work
as our FULL Time Field Care
Supervisor.
Summary of
role:
Responsible for the
implementation of the field based quality
control systems and the effective field
management of a defined area.
Key
Responsibilities:
-
To carry out assessments on new
clients.
-
To attend introductory visits to
clients.
-
To ensure all calls are always
covered.
-
To be on-call in case of emergency.
-
To liaise closely with Care
Coordinators regarding recruitment
and allocation of carers.
-
To identify suitable carers to
cover for absences.
-
To allocate suitable alternative
carers when existing carer unable
to do a call.
-
To provide in-field training as and
when appropriate.
-
To identify training needs of
carers and report accordingly.
-
To attend client reviews.
-
To urgently report any changes in
carers and care schedules to Care
Coordinator.
-
To monitor all carers in the field.
-
To provide support to all carers in
the field.
-
To monitor all clients for service
and carer satisfaction.
-
To ensure accuracy and completeness
of all documentation held in
clients homes.
-
To identify and develop a suitable
replacement.
-
To maintain all written reports and
administration up to date.
-
To maintain close liaison with both
the Care Manager and Care
Coordinator.
Field Care Supervisors are
responsible for the efficient running of their
own specific areas.
Field Care Supervisors should
spend approximately 90% of their working week
in the field with the remaining 10% being spent
in the office in order to complete the
necessary administrative duties.
Field Care Supervisors should
vary their hours of work in order to
effectively monitor all carers at all
times.
Whilst the role of a Field Care
Supervisor involves a certain amount of
“policing” the role should very much be
perceived as supportive.
