People normally start looking for live-in care when they need some extra help during certain times in the day, with carrying out either personal or domestic tasks. This may include help with many aspects of care such as help with getting out of bed in the morning, personal hygiene and washing as well as other things like domestic tasks such as vacuuming, preparing meals, laundry and ironing. Of course, clients can also reply on their carer to help with going to the shops, accompanying them to go for walks, appointments or out to visit places or friends.
Having a live in carer or Personal Assistant (PA) offers enormous flexibility for you. Everyday tasks can be tailored to what the you want. Nothing is set in stone and each day can be different from the one before. Naturally, this is an option and some clients may want each day to remain the same… but at least the option is open for greater flexibility in the future. Caremark’s PA’s are trained to be helpful and willing when the need arises. When not required, they will not become unavailable or hard to find.
